The Grammys Hall of Shame: Rihanna, Rita Ora and buttock-baring 'Matador' Madonna lead the WORST dressed list on the LA red carpet

It's music's biggest night of the year, and all eyes were on the red carpet as stars arrived to the 57th Grammy Awards at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Unfortunately for Madonna, jaws were dropping for all the wrong reasons. The 56-year-old star's ample chest was spilling out of her disastrous Givenchy burlesque get-up, complete with corset, leather gloves, fishnet stockings, and thigh-high boots.

Barbadian beauty Rihanna, 26, resembled a giant cupcake when she arrived swamped in a frothy lurid pink Giambattista Valli creation. And British crooner Charli XCX, 22, left host E host Giuliana Rancic, 40, almost lost for words when she turned up in a shiny Pink Panther-esque Moschino tuxedo and powder pink faux fur shrug.

What a look: Madonna's outfit had people on Twitter in a frenzy

Madonna, who at one point turned from the cameras and lifted her skirt up flash her thong-clad derriere, sent Twitter into a fashion feeding frenzy, with many likening her to a 'matador'.

When Ms Rancic told Charli XCX that she has 'really stepped outside the box', the Boom Clap singer replied: 'I hate boring fashion. I wanted to so something 80s and fabulous. I like unpredictable.'

Ex Pussycat Dolls star Kaya Jones, 30, made sure she stood out with her ruffled black gown - which was hitched up to just below the knee - and the yards of fabric that trailed behind it. Ms Jones bundled her lurid red hair atop her head and wore lashings of heavy make-up to finish her look.

Rita Ora, Meghan Trainor and Paris Hilton also made some cringeworthy fashion faux pas. Miss Ora's shiny sequinned dress made her look more like an award than an award-winner, while Miss Hilton's outfit that would have been more at home on the set of Dancing With The Stars.

And Miss Trainor's sheer lace dress was ruined by the minidress beneath which looked too gray under the bright red carpet lights.

Madonna releases Living For Love video on Snapchat

Madonna has premiered the first music video from her new album, Rebel Heart, on Snapchat.
The video for Living for Love, the album's first single, is available to watch on the app's Snap Channel.
A behind the scenes clip of the making of the video has also been published on the app.
The release of the video follows the 56-year-old's 13th studio album being leaked ahead of its planned release on 10 March.

Living for Love is the first music video to be published since the launch of SnapChat's Discover update, which has seen Snapchat partner with media companies to feature videos and news articles on the app.
After 24 hours the stories disappear, in keeping with Snapchat's trademark feature of private messages that disappear a few seconds after they are viewed by users of the service.
Snapchat, which reportedly turned down a $3bn (£1.2bn) buyout offer from Facebook, has been valued at around $10bn (£6.2bn).
Madonna is set to perform at the Grammys on 8 February and at the Brit Awards on 25 February.
